2026 - guided lights - Plymouth (WIP)

This summer, St Luke’s Guiding Lights will bring a striking new public art trail to Plymouth, created in partnership with Wild in Art. From July to September 2026, a collection of beautifully designed lighthouse sculptures will appear across the city and waterfront, each one transformed by local and regional artists and sponsored by businesses and organisations from across the community. The trail is free, family-friendly and designed to encourage people to explore Plymouth in a fresh and inspiring way while enjoying art in unexpected places.

More than just a colourful summer attraction, Guiding Lights is also helping raise awareness and vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and the compassionate end-of-life care it provides to patients and their loved ones. Following the success of Elmer’s Big Parade, this new Wild in Art event promises to connect communities, welcome visitors into the city and leave a lasting impact long after the trail ends, with the sculptures culminating in a fundraising auction. It is a celebration of creativity, community and care, shining a light on the incredible work of St Luke’s across Plymouth and beyond.
