Mercato Mall, Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

A Solo exhibition of Venetian Cityscapes at the Venetian themed Mall Mercato, sponsored by Sir Owen Glenn Vanguard Logistics
in aid of Autism, with special thanks to Johnny Miller. The Venetian Ciyscapes were inspiration from a trip to Venice for Carnivale in 2006.

Mercato Mall in Jumeirah Beach Dubai (The Harrods of Knightsbridge) were hosts of my first solo exhibition for 3 days in Dubai. The Venetian theme was requested to fit the brief of the Venetian themed mall in Dubai. The artworks are inspired from a holiday/tour in Venice during the week of Carnival in 2007.

The objective of the exhibition was to raise money for the “Dubai Autism Center.” 25% of the sales were to be donated to help the charity.
Here Sarah Al Marzooqi educational psychologist and DAC Administration and Finance Manager one of the HOD’s of the Dubai Center opened the exhibition with me with the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon.

Johnny Miller entrepreneur and world class musician played live piano for 3 days for me ,opening the exhibition each day with the New Zealand National Anthem “God of Nations”. Johnny Miller plays piano at Mercato for charity selling his CD’s with all profits going straight to the Dubai Autism Centre.

A huge thank you to Johnny Miller who has organised everything behind the scenes and offered this fantastic opportunity

Owen Glenn and Ian Gill from Vanguard Logistics for the shipping and storage of all of the artwork from London to Dubai. Without you this would not be possible. www.vanguardlogistics.com
