Rarotongan Love Story
Oil and Acrylic on canvas
H 40cm x W 50cm
2004
Unframed
SOLD
This painting capture's a moment in time where I made a life changing decision..
I was leading a happy life in NZ – great job, great friends, great car etc when I unexpectedly fell in love with Justin. He flew from London to NZ and whisked me away to the tropical paradise that is Rarotonga for a month in a bid to woo me, and start a life together in London. He eventually succeeded. One morning while sightseeing the markets buying matching shell bracelets, we then came to this spot on the beach, snorkelled in the foreground walking back hand in hand to the view you see before you. As we lay on the beach, I decided that…Yes…I will follow Justin to London, and 3 weeks later my world was packed up and my feet were on UK soil. I have never looked back, and it was the best decision I have ever made.

Rarotongan Reef Break
Acrylic on canvas
H 30cm x W 40cm

SOLD
During a trip to Rarotonga, I sat on the beach watching my boyfriend at the time surf a dangerous 10ft Reef break.
As I took in the scenery I took a photo’s of the surf to paint at a later date. If you look closely, you can see him surfing in the waves.

Mt Maunganui, New Zealand
Oil and Acrylic on canvas
H 30cm x W 90cm
2011
SOLD
For me, Mt Maunganui is one of the most special places in the world. For years I have wanted to paint Mt Maunganui, but as I have lived in London for 6 years, my fleeting visits back to the Mt didn’t quite produce the photo I wanted to paint from. Whilst in London I met Braden Loveridge, a local Mt boy. We got talking about how much I wanted to paint Mt Maunganui, 3 years earlier Braden lost his mum to breast cancer. Her ashes were scattered in the waves at the Mt and one year later a photo was taken. 3 birds fly in the distance. Braden feels these 3 birds represent himself and his two sisters . Braden always wanted to enlarge the photo onto canvas one day when he went back to NZ. I offered to paint it for him as a gift for Mother’s day. The painting has now been shipped back to his home in NZ.

Big Manley Whangaparoa
Acrylic on Canvas
80cm diameter
2013
SOLD
I fell in love with someone I couldn’t have. Right person, wrong time. A soul mate, a twin flame. As time progressed I discovered more and more synchronicities. I heard him whoever he was at the time. I was so drawn to Big Manly Whangaparoa, I was there every day knowing that whoever he was, was very close. However, he didn’t hear me and we never met until 2012. We could have met on two occasions but didn’t. I could have been a flight attendant meeting him 25 years ago. 20 years ago I also unknowingly used to sit on the beach, my feet in the sand watching the waves roll in outside his house waiting/hoping to be found but wasn’t, as I spent all day on the beaches where he lived back then. Suddenly one day I felt he was gone (whoever he was) and I came to London, knowing I needed to stay in London until I met my destiny. The London path has taught me to relentlessly chase my dreams, which I may not have done if we did meet earlier back in NZ. London also taught me to channel my emotion into my work, especially right now and this painting in particular. I have a deep knowing that everything will all work out eventually. Never in my life have I experienced such a deep karmic connection. A knowingness of centuries of past lives spent together. Within 20mins of meeting I could sense a lovely energy. We did not look for each other, it just happened spirit bringing us together in an uncontrollable force. I will always be eternally grateful for having the chance to experience such a deep soulful love for the time that I did. Meeting a karmic soulmate is a very rare occurrence only a select few get to share.
