2010 (Oct) Hospice of Hope for terminal Romanian patients – Art Therapy – HOSPICES OF HOPE - Brasov Transylvania Romania Oct 2010 Romania www.hospice.ro orwww.hospicesofhope.co.uk
My partner Marc Jenner works for Hospice of Hope in Bucharest and Brasov Romania. After working non stop for 18 months I decided to travel to Romania on a working holiday. We decided we would do an Art Therapy class with the Hospice kids. We made T-shirt’s, each with the kids names on the back, and on the front they could choose anything they loved. The kids chose animals. To ease the language barrier with the help of Google images and a blackberry, the kids chose the image of the animal they wanted. I drew out the images in pen and the kids painted the rest. I plan to go back and help out again anyway I can.
If you want to help, either with your time or donations visit the above websites or email Marc directly (Director of Fund Raising Romania) email@example.com or If you live in London, it can be as simple as donating/purchasing your clothes to the Hospice’s of Hope Charity Shop in Pimlico/Victoria. A short 2 minute walk from Victoria station, you can donate your once loved items to the store. If you are a tax payer, you can fill in a gift aid form which means the hospice can get a little more with each £ raised.
